Biden’s second son Hunter’s lawyer sued the above 11 people in a federal court in California on the 13th, accusing them of "accessing, tampering, manipulating, modifying, copying and destroying other people’s computer data" since December 2020, and obtaining Hunter’s "tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, dozens of videos and recordings" and spreading them on the Internet.
The plaintiff said that the data copied by Ziegler and others included Hunter’s credit card details, financial and bank records. These data come from Hunter’s mobile phone and laptop, and are backed up on the cloud disk.
Hunter is seeking a jury to hear the case and determine how to "compensate", while preventing Ziegler from continuing to access or tamper with his personal information.
According to Reuters, according to California law, once the defendant is convicted of computer data fraud, he will face imprisonment or a fine.

Ziegler served as a White House policy analyst during Trump’s presidency of the United States, and later served under Peter Navarro, then director of the White House National Trade Commission. Hunter said in the complaint that Ziegler spent most of his time and energy obtaining Hunter’s personal information after leaving his post.
According to CNN, earlier this year, Hunter’s team asked the US Department of Justice to launch a criminal investigation against Ziegler and others who spread Hunter’s information.
Ziegler’s statement quoted on the website of Politico reported that he had understood the contents of the complaint, but had not received the notice of responding to the lawsuit. Ziegler claims that his actions are protected by state and federal laws.
Ziegler also stressed that Hunt filed a lawsuit the day after Biden faced impeachment investigation in the House of Representatives. "This is no stranger to us."
△ McCarthy announced the launch of an impeachment investigation against Biden.
