Recently, Musk has completed the acquisition of social platform company Twitter. Public opinion is worried that Musk’s takeover of Twitter means the arrival of the "hate speech era", and more analysis shows that "foul language and racist speech" on Twitter has emerged like a flood.
According to a report by Bloomberg on October 29th, Musk claimed to be an "absolutist of freedom of speech", while Twitter had been trying to manage the content on its platform "fairly". As Musk took over Twitter, some conservative politicians, extremists and "conspiracy promoters" saw an opportunity.

Katie Harbath, the former director of public policy at Facebook, commented: "At first glance, this group of people think that as long as he (Musk) signs, the rules (of Twitter platform) can change wonderfully."
Rebekah rabo, director of the Institute of Data, Democracy and Politics at George Washington University, said that once Musk took control of Twitter, online "trolls" began to encourage each other and challenged the limits of speech on Twitter.
Rabo believes that most of these "spitters" regard extreme remarks on social platforms as a game, while others, including influential politicians, regard these "hateful and bizarre" remarks as opportunities to increase audiences and make profits.
Musk promised on October 27th that Twitter would not fall into a "hell of free indulgence" under his leadership, but Musk’s promise of "restoring people’s freedom of speech" encountered various difficulties.
At present, the news that Musk acquired Twitter has caused some Republicans to cheer. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican, was permanently banned by Twitter for repeatedly posting "false news" about the COVID-19 epidemic. On the 27th, she tweeted "freedom of speech" when she regained her freedom. Others who support Trump "test the limitations of the Twitter platform under the management of Musk" by posting tweets full of false information.
According to the analysis of Bloomberg, in just one day, dozens of anonymous "Spitter" accounts were successfully registered, and hate speech against protected groups and false information about vaccines in Covid-19 and COVID-19 were published. Until October 28th, racist speech, anti-Semitic speech and offensive speech on Twitter platform increased significantly.
Musk said on Twitter that he would form a content management committee including "a wide range of different views". Before the meeting of the group, the Twitter platform will shelve major decisions on content and account recovery. A Twitter spokesperson added that the company has a policy to manage hate behavior, and the relevant rules of Twitter have not changed.
